The GTROC is proud to welcome Jake Hill to the ranks of its guest Bloggers. he joins the GTROC growing stable of young drivers with a huge amount of talent and a little bit of a soft spot for the GTROC!
Jake Hill is “one of UK motorsport’s brightest young prospects” according to Motorsport News.
In his first full season of racing cars in 2010 he broke every record in the fiercely competitive Ginetta Junior series & as a result he was awarded the accolade of BRDC Rising Star.
In 2011 Jake’s success continued: The youngest driver in the 300bhp Ginetta G50 GT series, he took 17 podium finishes, 4 wins, 4 fastest laps.
Like so many talented young British drivers Jake is struggling to raise the funds that his ability warrants, but he’s determined to become a professional racing driver, and compete at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The GTROC is keen to do what we can to support Jake and Jake is already an avid (and slightly envious) fan of the GTROC and all that we do. Jake will soon be popping up at some GTROC events and don’t be surprised if he asks for the odd passenger lap at a track day! You never know he might even give you a few tips along the way.
