The GTROC’s Annual General Meeting and Tenth Anniversary Dinner is being held, for the first time, in the south east of England. To celebrate this major milestone we have not only secured a great venue but we have also managed to add something very special for a Sunday morning drive out and brunch.
The AGM will be held at the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Park in Epsom, Surrey on Saturday 9th November 2013
Woodcote Park is one of two facilities owned by the RAC and is this year celebrating it’s 100th anniversary. Both the AGM and the dinner will be held in the Derby Room, overlooking the fountain and golf course. We are very privileged to be able to park all the Skylines and GTRs around the fountain where they will be on display not just for us but for everyone at the RAC. If that was not enough the RAC has kindly agreed to let us drive in convoy through the golf course along The Captains Drive. This road is only reserved for special occasions, golf will be halted while we do!
The day will commence with arrival at our hotel adjacent to Woodcote Park. After lunch and checking in we will convoy through Woodcote Park along The Captains Drive to arrive and park around the fountain. From here GTROC members and their partners can spend some time before attending to the business of the day and, for partners, enjoying the swimming pool, tennis and squash courts or at the RAC spa. Cars will be left on display around the fountain.
In the afternoon we will be ferried back to our hotel with plenty of time to change and refresh before coming back to the Derby Room for dinner. Pre-dinner drinks will be served in the Woodcote Park clubhouse and then dinner in the Derby Room.
After dinner we will hold our annual awards and presentation. Later there will be a chance to explore more of Woodcote Park before we are ferried back to the hotel. The cars will remain around the fountain under the full security of the RAC.
Sunday morning sees us returning to Woodcote Park and then a Grand Depart. Heading out through The Captains Drive we will then head the 18 miles into central London. parking in St James’s we will then head off to the Royal Automobile Club in Pal Mall for Sunday brunch.
For those wishing to return straight home the brunch is optional. If you have a train to catch we can drop you at the local station or perhaps somewhere near Pall Mall for a return train. Sunday Brunch will be an extra charge, details to follow.
