With the M1 disaster behind us the Fri Nite social kicked off at the refurbished Moira Arms and the the Chequered Flag micropub, followed by a storming curry once again with Quint and Jo. Then back to the Chequered Flag until well past closing time. The owner of the Chequered Flag is a great guy – a real car enthusiast who also offers a superb selection of real ales. Finally back to the pleasant Donington Cottage with secure car park (shown below).
Our stand was in good smooth surfaced place and we had stacks of visitors.
Sean took out his newly acquired 33 on the parade lap and he looked really cool.
The paddock, pits and track were, as always crammed, with georgeous machines. Thundering V8s and screaming F2s were my highlights of the action.
Thanks again Dave and best wishes to all of our friends who were there.
Maureen’s camera is on its last legs but here’s a few pics:-
